SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

If you are familiar with D5, you know that kids pick the area they are to work during a 90min. time block....typically 3 to 5 activities.
Anyway, I'm trying to think of a way to use my SB to allow the kids to show where they will be...kind of a giant check off list. The problem is I have 25 students and if I put 5 choices by each name, it's too much....
any ideas? This won't make sense if you're not familiar with D5, but if you use centers it is similar.....
I was thinking of cloning their picture (if that's possible) and letting them drag it to the activity....

Using the SMART Board as a center or for a way for kids to select which center they are going to work at sounds like an excellent idea. You could create a chart and have each of the students' pictures on the edges of the chart. Students would then drag their picture to the activity/center they plan to go to and move it when they go to a different center.

PS You can clone any picture or word by clicking once on the picture to select it. Click on the down arrow and choose infinite cloner.
Here's mine that I use for Daily 5 Choices. I combine Word Work with Work on Writing so I am able to have a computer choice. Hope this helps!
