Using hiragana and katakana on Smartboard

My class is learning Japanese and I am wondering if anyone has had some good sites and activities to use with the hiragana and katakana characters.

Not especially BUT what I can recommend is using Page Recorder in Notebook 10 to record the way you write the characters so the children can write the correct stroke order.

Another idea is to use the page recorder to record you creating the characters on each page. That page recorder can be used to make animations or short flash movie clips. It uses very little hard drive space because it only records video, no sound.
