We have a good collection of Science lessons on our Educator Resource Center. www.community.teqsmart.org. These lessons are just classified according to elementary, middle, and high school. I would love to hear others ideas or see some other kinds of new things going on in Science using the SMART Notebook.

This isn't a lesson, but it's a fantastic website with interactive activities for learning about simple machines.
The kids have always loved it so much that they begged me for the link so they could work with it at home.

For all of you secondary science teachers out there. I forgot about this site because I don't use it with my first graders. The University of Nottingham has a site with the periodic table of the elements with a video for each element. The site sends you to You Tube to view the videos, but it also has a separate link in case you are blocked from You Tube in your classroom.

I just want to remind everyone that there are some fantastic science models in the gallery of notebook 10. There are activities on respiration, photosynthesis, changes in states of matter, and more. My personal favorite is frog guts, where you can virtually dissect a frog. Most of the activities are in Spanish and Arabic as well. Scroll through the interactive/multimedia section og the gallery to discover even more.

I've recently had my 6th grade students use the Smartboard to make weather prediction reports for their peers. It is the cumulating project for our meteorology unit. I copy weather maps from weather.com. The students use the data from our school's weather station to make local and national predictions. I post the videos on our class website so my students can show their prediction to family and friends. The other members of the class need to record all that the two forecasters present each day. I grade the forecast presentation using a simple rubric. The students also complete an assignment where they are asked to look for trends over the course of all of the presentations. I find this is a great way for my students to use real-time data, to show their knowledge through performance, and to assess themselves with the accuracy of their prediction.
Here's the link for today's report.
